Ember Connect (operated by Shanty) is an online matchmaking and social networking platform strictly designed and intended for adult users aged 18 and older. Minors under 18 years of age are strictly prohibited from creating accounts or using the platform.
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy regarding Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (CSAE), child grooming, or any content or behavior that endangers minors.
2. Explicit Prohibition of Child Sexual Abuse & Exploitation (CSAE)
Users of Ember Connect are strictly forbidden from uploading, creating, sharing, transmitting, streaming, soliciting, or storing:
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or visual depictions of sexual abuse involving minors;
- Content that facilitates, promotes, or encourages Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (CSAE);
- Child grooming activities, sexualized interaction with minors, or child trafficking;
- Any content or behavior that threatens, harms, or exploits individuals under the age of 18.
3. Safety Mechanisms & In-App User Reporting
To enforce these standards, Ember Connect incorporates active technical and operational safety features:
- In-App Report System: Every user profile and active video/audio calling screen includes an accessible, functional "Report User" button allowing users to report CSAE, harassment, or underage users in real time.
- Immediate Account Suspension: Accounts flagged for suspected CSAE/CSAM or underage registration are immediately suspended pending administrative investigation. Confirmed violations result in permanent bans.
- Content Moderation: Our moderation team reviews user reports continuously and takes prompt action against violating profiles and media.
4. Reporting to Law Enforcement Authorities
In compliance with applicable global and national laws, Ember Connect reports any identified instance of CSAM or CSAE to law enforcement agencies, including:
- The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC);
- National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (Government of India);
- Relevant local law enforcement authorities worldwide.
